S CLUB HEAVEN 2012

SCH2010 was an unqualified success, raising over £1300 for Cancer Research UK, the event was spread over 3 days and consisted of a camping, a BBQ and the show at the Weston Park Stately Home and a show as the RAF Museum at Cosford in the glorious sun and a damp drive across Snodonia and Horseshoe pass. This builty on the previous year's success which had involved runway sprints and a similarly sunny show. The pictures around this section provide a taster of what occurred at S Club Heaven during the last two years. For details of this years event, and to sign up for any of the activities, click the button below.
S Club Heaven 2012

The intent of S Club Heaven 2012 is to build on the success of SCH2010 and 2011 and continue to widen the appeal of the event. The organiser this year has changed with Simon Verral sorting the event and me just assisting with the website design. Simon and I are contactable via the contact buttons on this website, and if it is event related use the contact us button, if website related (including signup issues) use the contact webmaster button. Don't forget any thoughts or suggestions are welcomed, just don't expect all to be acted upon as we must please the majority. Because of this the event will be based on last years successful formula but will be split over the whole of the weekend of 6-8 July 2012. A rough itinery is included below and this will be enhanced as plans firm up.

This years event will be held at the Niagara Sports and Social club in Sheffield. If you wish to look at the website of the venue then click Here

6 July 2012 - Arrival

Following the success of camping at Weston Park Stately Home last year it has again been decided to take advantage of the camping facilities at the new venue. Camping will therefore be available on the Friday and Saturday night for those who wish to take advantage. More details on camping is available at the link to the left. However, food will be available from the bar from 7pm to 9pm only as they don't usually do food on Friday evening choice will be homemade Lasagne and chips or homemade meat pie and chips (or similar, perhaps a chilli as well). No need to prepay but an indication of numbers would be good. If people arrive outside this time there are plenty of places nearby to get food, or the site will allow you to bring your own. Bar will be open

7 July 2012 - Run Out and BBQ

The Saturday run out will be along snake pass to the Lantern Pike Inn then back via Castleton and the Hope Valley. The Lantern Pike Inn have said that we will be able to park in a field next to them and they will provide us with a preselected lunch menu. Orders will be taken on the Saturday morning and there is no need to pay in advance, But please sign up if you think you'll be doing this section of the event as the pub want to have reasonable idea of numbers wanting to eat lunch. Cost yet to be fixed but will be under £10 per person pay on the day.

Saturday evening food will be £8 for adults and £4 for children under 16. This will be a hog roast if we can get 70 people to commit to it upfront, if not it will be a barbeque. Therefore it will be necessary to sign up and pay in advance for this. There will be a cash bar available throughout the evening

26 June 2012 - The Show Day

Sunday will be the main show as normal. The format has yet to be finalised but efforts are ongoing to get some local suppliers (RT racing, raceproved, etc) to come along. This will be updated when details are confirmed.

SCH2012 mugs will be available again, but as with everything this year the price has gone up somewhat. This means that to allow some donation for the charity the cost will be £7 for a mug this year. Orders will be needed in advance with payment.
